MyLav is a veterinary testing laboratory dedicated to laboratory diagnostics of companion animals.

We offer a wide range of analytical services in the fields of haematology, coagulation, electrophoresis, clinical chemistry, endocrinology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, animal genetics, cancer genetics, allergology, pathological anatomy (cytology and histology).

MyLav is equipped with high-performance laboratory equipment which is “state of the art” in the various fields of basic and specialist laboratory diagnostics.

The instruments and methods used are controlled with rigorous analytical procedures and subjected to quality control through standardised and regular procedures and adherence to national and international quality control programmes.

We guarantee the reliability of the results thanks to our team of experts, consisting of clinical veterinary pathologists recognised by the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology, biologists and laboratory technicians experienced in the various fields of diagnostics.

Haematology and haemocoagulation

We use state-of-the-art laser blood counts, flow cytometry and automatic coagulometers combined with morphological microscope verification by highly qualified staff.

Clinical Chemistry and Electrophoresis

With traditional basic and advanced biochemical methods (immunoturbidimetry and capillary electrophoresis) we guarantee high accuracy and speed.

Endocrinology and Vitamins

We use the enhanced cheminoluminescence technique with methods that have been extensively validated in analytical and clinical studies reported in the international literature.

Infectious Diseases

By combining serological and molecular techniques, we are able to diagnose infectious and parasitic diseases in animals.

Urine

We use fully automated instrumentation to perform urine tests in order to minimise analytical errors and ensure maximum speed.

Microbiology

We use both traditional and state-of-the-art survey methods (Maldi-Tof) to identify microorganisms and their sensitivity to antibiotics.

Molecular Biology

We chose to use state-of-the-art instruments to perform Real Time-PCR and DNA sequencing methods.

Genetic Tests

We are always keen to propose new examinations in the field of genetics of hereditary diseases and neoplastic pathologies, as well as offering tests developed by our consultants.

Cytology and Histology

Cyto-hytopathological diagnostics are carried out by highly qualified and experienced professionals to ensure the highest reliability of the results. In addition, the ability to take advantage of digital pathology allows our consultants to easily share cases within a short timeframe.
